
In a medium bowl, mix together the oats, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Stir in the butter flavored shortening and water to form a crumbly mixture. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, mix together the cranberry sauce and cornstarch and bring to a boil. Stir in the apples and coat with the cranberry sauce. Spread the mixture into an 8 x 8-inch glass baking dish. Crumble the oat mixture over the apples. Bake in the preheated oven 30 minutes, or until the apples are tender. Serve warm. |
