All that Glitters
Spray-paint a galvanized pail, terra cotta pots or a
tin watering can with gold paint. Fill with greens.
Spray-paint leaves
gold and spread them over the center of the table. Fill a bowl or silver tray
with large metallic gold balls laced with golden ribbons and set on top of the
leaves. Spray vines of ivy leaves with gold paint to insert among the balls and
spread the vines over the tablecloth.
String lots and lots of gold star
garlands on the tree. Then cut oversized stars from gold paper. Glue two
together with a gold string between them for hanging. Cover the tree with these
handmade ornaments and place one atop the tree.
Wrap a grapevine wreath
with a string of clear lights. Place a clear glass bowl in the center of the
wreath and fill with another string of lights. Top this with clear glass and
golden balls. The whole thing will add a glow to that corner of your
room.
Wrap small boxes with gold metallic paper and tie with gold cording
and golden jingle bells. String lights along a bough of greens on the mantel and
arrange the packages among the boughs. Add gold votive
candles.
