Decorate your mailbox with peel-off letters that spell
"CHEERS" or "NOEL."
Use round paper doilies as snowflakes to hang in
front of windows.
Put together a basket filled with leaves, pine cones
and small fruit such as tangerines, kumquats, lemons and limes. Add a few sticks
of cinnamon and brush with egg white and sprinkle with sugar. It will attract
the birds.
Wrap boxes with silver foil and outdoor ribbons and arrange on
a child’s sled or in a little red wagon. Insert sprigs of evergreens as well.
Place this charming container near the front door as a welcoming
decoration.
Deep blue mussel shells make a lovely simple wreath. Use a
flat Styrofoam or bristol board wreath form and hot-glue the mussel shells -
with insides facing out, and narrow ends toward the inside center - in
concentric circles around the wreath. Add a simple bow if
desired.
