Canning Green Tomatoes

Slice 1 peck of green tomatoes with out peeling.
Slice 12 large onions.

Mix together
1 quart sugar
2 tablespoons each of
salt, dry mustard, and black pepper.
and 1 tablespoon each of
cloves and allspice.
Place your sugar and spices in 2 quarts of
Cider vinegar. Add your tomatoes and onions.
Cook slowly for about 2 hours.
Fill hot jars, and seal.
Place in a cool dark place. This will keep for years.
