Pickled Okra

For each pint:

Fresh okra
1 teas. dill seed 1 hot green pepper
1 hot red pepper 2 cloves garlic

Liquid mixture for 5 pints:

1 quart vinegar
1 cup water
1/2 teas. salt (not iodized)...use canning salt

Place 1/2 teaspoon dill seed in bottom of sterilized jar.
Pack washed okra tightly in jar, being careful not to bruise.
Add 1/2 teaspoon dill seeds, peppers and garlic. Combine vinegar, water, salt and bring to a boil. Cover okra with liquid mixture; seal jars and allow to stand for 2 weeks.
Serve icy cold.
