Turtle
Cake
1 box German Chocolate Cake
Mix 1/2 cup Butter, softened 1-1/2 cups Water 1/2 cup
Oil 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk 1 pound Caramels 1 cup
Chopped Pecans
Frosting: 1/2 cup
Butter 3 Tbsp Cocoa 6 Tbsp Evaporated Milk 1 box Powdered
Sugar 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Combine cake mix, butter, water,
oil and half of the condensed milk. Pour half of the batter into a
greased and floured 9x13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20
minutes.
Melt caramels and blend with the remaining condensed
milk. Spread evenly over baked cake layer and sprinkle with pecans.
Cover with remaining batter and bake an additional 20-25
minutes.
Frosting: Melt butter in a
saucepan and mix in cocoa and milk. Add powdered sugar and vanilla
to mixture and blend well. Spread over cake.
