Vipava Corba (Cabbage Soup)

  • 2 Cans Beans -- Any Kind
  • 3 Large Potato -- Chopped
  • 1 Pound Sauerkraut
  • 1 Pound Smoked Pork -- Chopped
  • 4 Cups Beef Stock
  • Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic -- Chopped
  • 5 Tablespoons Yogurt
  • Saute pork, potatoes and garlic in oil for 10 minutes. Add flour and stir in well. Saute until flour turns golden about 5 minutes. Add salt, pepper, sauerkraut and broth. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add beans and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in yogurt and serve.
